His Grace the Archbishop opens & blesses new classroom block at St. Alban’s School

His Grace, The Most Rev. Mark O’Toole, Archbishop of Cardiff, Bishop of Menevia, and Metropolitan of Wales & Herefordshire, welcomed by the Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor of Cardiff & the Lady Mayoress, together with the Very Rev. Fr. Ignatius Harrison, Cong. Orat., the Delegate of the Procurator-General of the Oratories, Rome, has opened and blessed new classroom block at St. Alban’s Catholic Primary School in Mona Place, Cardiff. The Oratorians are Chaplains to the School, which has served the Parish of St. Alban’s-on-the-Moors for generations. 

During the visit, His Grace, the Lord Mayor, and Fr. Ignatius also planted Memorial Trees in honour of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy memorial set up by its patron, His Majesty The King.

Later, the dignitaries toured St. Alban’s School, meeting the pupils and faculty. The crowd of parishioners, old boys and old girls, civic leaders, and others greeted His Grace, the Lord Mayor, and the Lady Mayoress afterward in a splendid reception put on by the staff of the School.
