Mission

God is love. In love, He created the world and the cosmos, everyone and everything in it. And because He is love, God loves people, all people.

God reveals His great love for the world through the beauty of creation and nature, which, like art, is a reflection of the intelligent design and personality of the artist.

From the beginning, God gave human beings, the chief of His creation, the gifts of reason and free will, that we might choose to love Him back and ultimately, trust Him as the only One who could fulfill the existential ache and eternal longing inside each human heart.

But this isn’t all. When the fullness of time had come, God revealed His unrelenting love for the world in the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus, the Christ, ‘who loved us and gave Himself up for us’ that we might be reconciled to God through Him. The agony of life’s ‘absurdity’ only makes sense and finds its true meaning in the salvation history of God’s love.

As Catholics, we believe God is continually calling people of every age, race, and nation into a personal relationship with Himself through Christ. And this is the calling: Be reconciled to God. He made you, He knows you, and He loves you. He has made a way and is calling you home.

Since the pontificates of Pope Paul VI and John Paul II, the Roman Catholic Church has been commissioned to engage and embrace the world with this message of love once more with ‘new methods, new ardor and new expression.’ It has come to be phrased, ‘the new evangelisation.’

This is where you come in, it means meeting other people and challenging them to examine the meaning and purpose of their lives. Through personal relationships and friendship, we offer University students the true peace and fulfillment they seek in the good news of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Catholic faith, inviting them to answer His calling in their lives.

We are getting our inspiration from FOCUS ministries (http://www.focusequip.org/) in the US and NET ministries (http://www.netscotland.org/) who will hopefully be joining us in Cardiff towards the end of 2016 if you’re wondering what this is about you may want to have a look at one of their websites and download the app for your phone
